Last year, 5th grade students at Liberty in Mrs. Laskey's and Mrs. Wilkie's science classes have benefited from the ESP Energy grant. The Energizing Student Potential Program is designed to infuse energy into the STEM classroom. The STEM project was centered around hydroponics. The students grew plants from seeds in water. While the hydroponic system was successful, we never saw vegetables. Students took home the plants and these two girls returned this fall with the fruits of our labor. ESP is sponsored by: The Exelon Foundation, ComEd, Pepco, Nicor Gas, Peoples and North Shore Gas, and BP.

This is just a reminder that Band and Orchestra registration, meeting, and instrument rentals will take place TONIGHT from 6PM-8PM in the Liberty Band Room.
If you cannot make the meeting but would still like your child to join, please make sure the last page of the registration packet gets turned in to the school. You will also need to begin the rental process as soon as possible so everyone gets their instruments on time.
