I wanted to let you know that August 31st is International Drug Overdoes Awareness Day and BBCHS will be hosting an evening program for parents. The District welcomed Miss Charlotte Young as the new Superintendent for the day.
She did an outstanding job keeping up with Dr. Ehrman . Superintendent Young read to kindergarten classes, held Administrator meetings, hand delivered employee service year awards and had a staff lunch with the District Office.

BESD #53 is hosting walk-in interviews for custodian positions(sub custodians, seasonal sub custodians and 2nd shift anticipated custodian . No need to schedule an interview. Come to the District Office at 281 W. John Casey Road on Friday, April 21st from 12-3pm.

The Kankakee County Health Department is hosting an Adolescent Wellness Clinic for Adolescents (11-21 years old). This clinic is a comprehensive exam and during this clinic adolescents can have all routine immunizations, sports physical. Get ready for school next year and please share this flyer with all your students. All students that sign up for the wellness clinic will receive a Speedway Gift card.

Out of an abundance of caution and the severe inclement weather forecasts, Bourbonnais Elementary School District #53 will not be in normal attendance, tomorrow, March 3rd, 2023. Instead, we will be utilizing an E-Learning day. Please reference the information provided by your student's teacher.

The B53 Activity Bus has finally arrived! We have been waiting patiently since it was approved at the September Board Meeting. With room for 14 and a whole lot of gear, this Activity Bus is a great addition to our Transportation Fleet!





We brought the FUN on Fat Tuesday! Our staff enjoyed a Mardi Gras Parade as we delivered 420 Paczki's, tossed Mardi Gras beads and filled the halls with New Orleans jazz music. We loved seeing all the joy and excitement!

BUGC Cheer won 2nd place at the IESA STATE FINALS last night. All of their hard work and dedication paid off. They scored 89.1 and their routine was flawless. Great job girls!


Good Luck to our BUGC competitive cheerleading team as they compete at IESA State today. These girls hit the mat at 1:35pm! Go Tigers!
