We want to congratulate the following 8th grade students for being selected to participate in ILMEA’s Junior Band and Orchestra back in November. From left to right: Owen Entwistle (french horn), Nicholas Johnson (violin), Reese Freedlund (viola), Myah Crawford (viola) and pictured separately Eleanor Snipes (bass). These students would typically spend the day in rehearsal with a special clinician and then perform a concert in the evening. This year they got to attend a masterclass via zoom where they heard from several clinicians. We're very proud of you!

REMINDER FOR 8th Grade BUGC Students: The cost for graduation cap/gown/tassel is $32.00, due on February 16th & 17th, 2021. To pay the fee for the gown/cap/tassel please send a check or money order payable to “Jostens” and return to school with your 8th grade child. Use the envelope provided by Jostens. (this was in with the report cards mailed home at the end of 2nd quarter) The envelope should include the student’s name and a contact phone number, when returned on February 16th & 17th, 2021. These are the dates students will be measured for their caps and gowns. Students who are fully remote can come to the school for their measurements on Feb. 16th or 17th between the times of 8:15 am and 11:15 am.
The BUGC 2021 yearbook is currently on sale. Image Group has moved to fully online orders this year. Students were sent information about this in their report card.
BUGC CHEER TRYOUTS for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders! Tryouts will be Monday February 8th, Tuesday February 9th and Wednesday February 10th 3:30 -5:00. Tryouts will take place in the new Liberty gym. You must have an up-to-date sports physical on file at school. If you have not turned one in, please bring it to your school nurse before tryouts. COVID-19 restrictions will make things look a little different than normal, but we are confident that our students will be able to follow the new guidelines so that we can make the best of it! We will maintain 6 feet apart from each other at all times. We will wear masks the entire time and will be speaking our cheers, not yelling them.
