We are so proud of our 7th grade volleyball team. Though we lost the sectional game today, our girls fought hard!!
Ms. Crum's 8th grade Algebra class was a day ahead, so today they practiced their teaching skills and taught Mrs. Lundmark's class how to solve linear inequalities by graphing. Great conversation was heard as students learned from each other.

7th grade math students solved problems through board games relating to circles and cylinders. They calculated area, circumference, diameter, and radius of circles. They also solved problems about the surface area and cylinder of spheres. Thank you to Bourbonnais PTA for the grant. The students love having an engaging way to interact with math.

112 BUGC students celebrated reading at the 2020 Rebecca Caudill Young Readers' Book Award voting party. All students that qualified for this annual event, read at least 3 of the nominated titles. At the voting party, students enjoyed breakfast, talked about their favorite books, and received prizes such as books, t-shirts, posters, and bags.

Tonight we celebrate the 8th Grade Volleyball Team as they play their last home game. It is also Coach McKenzie’s last home game after 36 years of coaching volleyball!
BUGC SOCCER TRY OUTS have been moved today (2/24) to Liberty. The time is 4:45-6:30 p.m. Students are responsible for their own transportation. Athletes should wear shin guard, tennis shoes (No cleats)
Former BUGC Principal and current BBCHS Football coach Mr. Nelson stopped by Mr. Outsen's and Ms. Papanicholas's 8th Grade Social Studies classes to talk about World War II, which 8th Graders are currently studying. Mr. Nelson shared the personal story of his father, Albert Nelson, and his journey from Dwight, Illinois through Europe after D-Day in 1944 - 1945. He even brought in some war artifacts for the students to examine and ask questions about.
